Andrey Gugnin

BIOGRAPHY

Graduated from the Moscow State Conservatory (class of Prof. Vera Gornostaeva).

Winner of Gina Bachauer & Sydney International piano competitions, Andrey has performed under the baton of Valery Gergiev with the Mariinsky Orchestra, and with conductors Jaap van Zweden, Reinbert de Leeuw, Daniel Raiskin and Asher Fisch. The London Philharmonic, Russian State Symphony and Sydney Symphony are among the many orchestras that have welcomed Andrey as a soloist.

In demand as a recording artist, his latest Liszt album was chosen by Gramophone as the Editor’s Choice.

He has performed in concert halls across the globe including Muskiverein, Carnegie Hall, Sydney Opera House, the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, Asahi Hamarikyu Hall, and at the Verbier, Ruhr Klavier, Dubrovnik Summer, Duszniki Chopin International festivals.
