Graduated from the Korea National University of Arts before taking up a place at the Royal Academy of Music (London) where he studied for his master’s degree. He is currently studying under Mark Wildman and Ingrid Surgenor for his advanced diploma. He is supported by Independent Opera, the Charles Mackerras Opera Scholarship, Henry Wood Award and Josephine Baker Trust.

Made numerous solo appearances at the Wigmore Hall and the Seoul Art Center Recital Hall.

A recent winner of the first prize at the Obukhova International Singing Competition in Russia (2018), the first prize at the Pavarotti Prize (2019), the first prize at the Joaninha Trust Award (2019), the second prize at the Clonter Opera Prize (2019).
