Dmitry Shishkin

Has been playing piano since the age of two. From the age of four he attended the Tchaikovsky Music School in Chelyabinsk. Aged nine he entered the Gnessin Music School in Moscow (class of Mikhail Khokhlov). He later graduated from the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory (class of professor Eliso Virsaladze). Currently he is studying with Epifanio Comis at the Vincenzo Bellini State Conservatory in Catania.

In 2013 he won the third prize at the Busoni International Piano Competition in Bolzano (Italy). A laureate of the Queen Elizabeth International Piano Competition (Belgium, 2016). Has been a prize winner at competitions in Russia, China, Germany, Bulgaria and Poland. 

He has performed with orchestras across Russia, including the Moscow State Symphony and the Moscow Philharmonic. He has performed in Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Spain, France, the UK, Japan, Austria, China and Poland.

In 2018 won the first prize at the 73 Geneva Competition. He is the 1st prize winner at the «Top of the World» Competition in Norway in 2017.

He is a regular participant in the philharmonic seasons, plays with Russian National Orchestra, M. Pletnev. Often gives solo concerts in the Central halls of Moscow and the World.
