Edward Johannes Gray

BIOGRAPHY

Started playing at the age of two. He grew up in Chicago where he studied for many years with Hans Jensen and Gilda Barston. Received Bachelor’s degree from the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique de Paris studying with Jérôme Pernoo. Took part in many festivals and master classes, such as the Verbier Festival Academy, Kronberg Academy, and the Cello Biennale Amsterdam.

He is very passionate about chamber music, playing regularly in festivals around France, Switzerland, Germany, and the Netherlands. Currently he continues to study in Paris in the Master’s program and is simultaneously pursuing Artist’s Diploma at the Barenboim-Said Akademie in Berlin with Frans Helmerson. In 2018 he received the International Pablo Casals Award.
