BIOGRAPHY

Attended the Juilliard School Pre-college Division and New England Conservatory. He is currently studying with Ralph Kirshbaum at the University of Southern California. Winner of various competitions, such as Pablo Casals International Cello Competition (2014) and III Andre Navarra International Cello Competition. He was also a prize winner at the VI International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians.

Played solo and chamber performances and appeared with various orchestras throughout Korea and the United States. Performed at the Budapest Spring Festival in Hungary, Seoul Spring Festival of Chamber Music, the World Orchestra Festival in Korea and many others. He plays on a cello made by Giovanni Grancino in 1697 in Milan, generously on loan from Samsung Cultural Foundation of Korea.
