Lara Boschkor

BIOGRAPHY

Studied with Liviu Prunaru at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and with Kolja Blacher at the Hanns Eisler College of Music in Berlin. Since October 2015 she is studying with Erik Schumann at the Kronberg Academy’s Pre-college programme, which is run in cooperation with the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts. 

She gained international attention when she won the first prize and the gold medal of the 7th Henryk Szeryng violin competition in Mexico (2013) and the first prize of the 12th Carl Flesch Violin Competition in Hungary as the youngest violinist of the competitions ever. In 2017 she won the first prize at the International Tonali17 Music Competition in Hamburg (Germany). She plays on a Santo Seraphin violin from Venice (1735), generously loaned by the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben.
