Haruma Sato

BIOGRAPHY

After graduating from the music high school attached to the Tokyo University of the Arts, he is now studying with Jens Peter Maintz at the University of the Arts in Berlin. Took part in master classes with Frans Helmerson, David Geringas, Gustav Rivinius, Hans Jensen, and Jean-Guihen Queyras.

As a soloist performed with Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra, Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of Polish Radio. Won first prizes at the Domenico Gabrielli Competition in Berlin and the XI Witold Lutosławski International Cello Competition in Warsaw.

Performed at the international festivals such as the Allegro Vivo Festival, Austria, International Mendelssohn Festival in Hamburg and the Summer Festival at the University of the Arts Berlin.
