Aleksey Lobikov (Trombone)

Began his trombone studies at the age of six at the Art lyceum of the Okhta center of aesthetic education (class of K. Lobikov). Graduated from the Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory (class of Prof. V. Sumerkin) and completed his postgraduate studies there. Since 2006 was a concertmaster of the trombone section of the St. Petersburg State Capella. Since 2012 he is a soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra. First prize winner at the V Mravinsky International Competition (St. Petersburg, 2006), the II Rimsky-Korsakov International Competition (St. Petersburg, 2008), the Lion’s Club International Trombone Competition in Tampere (Finland, 2009).

Since 2006 has been participating in the concert programs of the St. Petersburg Music House. Since 2016 he also teaches at the St. Petersburg Conservatory.
