Alexander Simon Warenberg

BIOGRAPHY

Since he was 8 years old he studied with Professor Monique Bartels at the Conservatory in Amsterdam. From 2016 till 2019 studied in Berlin at the Barenboim-Said Academy with Professor Frans Helmerson.  Сontinues to study with Professor Frans Helmerson at the Kronberg Academy.

In 2016 he won first prize at the Cello Biennale Competition in Amsterdam. He also won first prizes at the Antonio Janigro International Cello Competition, the Dutch Britten Cello Competition, the National Competition for Young Musicians and the Prinсess Christina Competition. He took part in master classes with Professor Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt and Jens-Peter Maintz. Plays on a Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume cello (1845), on loan from the Dutch Musical Instruments Foundation.
