Ferran Arbona (Clarinet)

BIOGRAPHY

He entered the Mestre Vert de Carcaixent Conservatory at age of ten, and graduated with honours. Attended master classes with professors Salvador Navarro, José Quilis, Enrique Pérez Piquer, Julia Heinen, Carlos Lacruz, Rafael Albert, Luis Miguel Méndez and Josep Fuster.

A first prize winner at the Ciudad de Xátiva Young Performers National Competition (2012), Saverio Mercadante International Clarinet Competition in Bari (2012), Mestre Vert International Chamber Music Competition (2013), the Clarinet World Congress Competition in Madrid (2015).

He has been a Principal Clarinet with the Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra and with the Netherlands Youth Orchestra (NJO). He is now a titular principal clarinet with the Spanish Youth Orchestra. He performs as a guest artist with the Symphony Orchestra of Madrid and Spanish National Orchestra.
