Florent Farnier (Trumpet)

BIOGRAPHY

He began studying the trumpet at the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional d'Annecy. Continued his studies with Clément Saunier at the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Paris. He was admitted to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Lyon to study with Thierry Caens and David Guerrier and received his Bachelor's degree in 2018. He currently studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München under Prof. Hannes Läubin, as part of the Erasmus exchange program.

He has been a member of the French Youth Orchestra in 2015 and 2016, and of the Orchestre-Atelier Ostinato, a Paris-based youth, and educational orchestra. He played with the Orchestre National de Lyon and other French orchestras. Won the first prize at the Maspalomas International Trumpet Competition (Spain, 2018). 

He is a recipient of the Mécénat Musical Société Général scholarship for the year 2019.
