Floris Onstwedder (Trumpet)

Began his studies under the tutelage of Fritz Damrow at the Conservatorium of Amsterdam, where he subsequently studied under Wim van Hasselt. He obtained his Bachelor diploma as a student of Theo Wolters at the Conservatorium Maastricht. Recently he finished his masters at the University of Arts in Zurich (Switzerland).

A laureate of various competitions, including Stichting Jong-Muziektalent-Nederland, the Prinses Christina Concours (the Netherlands) and the Yamaha Trumpet Competition in Hamburg (2009). A finalist of the Aeolus Competition in Düsseldorf and a second prize winner at the Girolamo Fantini International Solo Competition in Rome.

He played with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestra of Europe, the Netherlands Wind Ensemble and other orchestras and chamber ensembles. Completed his solo tour through China.
