Leonid Zheleznyi

Studied at Gnessins’ Special Music school (class of E.L. Malkina) and at Central Music school affiliated with the Moscow Conservatory (class of Prof A.E. Vinnitsky). Currently continues to study with Aleksandr Vinnitsky at the Moscow State Conservatory.

A laureate of the Homecoming festival competition (2009). Won second prizes at Beethoven International Violin Competition in Austria (2010), Leopold Auer competition in St. Petersburg (2015, first prize not awarded), the Grand Prix at VII International violin competition in Astana (2017), the first prize at III International music competition in Stockholm (2014), the third prize at I Vladimir Spivakov International competition in Ufa (2016). A laureate of Victor Tretyakov international violin competition in Krasnoyarsk (2018), III All-Russian music competition (2018, second prize), and I International Music Competition Harbin (2018, third prize), I International music competition Harbin (2018, third prize). Soloist of the Moscow State Academic Philharmonic.
