Lola Descours (Bassoon)

Graduated from the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris (class of Marc Trénel). She also studied with Dag Jensen and Gustavo Nunez.

A solo bassoon at the Frankfurt Opera und Museums Orchester (Germany). She played for ten years with the Orchestre de Paris under Christoph Eschenbach, Paavo Jarvi and Daniel Harding’s artistic direction. Regularly plays with the London Philharmonic Orchestra,

Rotterdam Philharmonisch Orkest, Zurich Tonhalle and Concertgebouw Amsterdam.

A laureate of international competitions, such as the International Double Reed Society Competition (2009 and 2018), Muri (Switzerland, 2016), Crusell (Finland, 2011), Lodz (Poland, 2011). She currently teaches bassoon at the Pôle Supérieur of Aix en Provence.
