He studied at the Gnessin State Music College under Vladimir Ferapontov, at the Musikhochschule Lübeck (Germany) under Professor Reiner Wehle and at the Real Conservatorio in Madrid (Spain) under Adolfo Garcés. In 2014 he received his master’s degree at the Musikhochschule Stuttgart (class of Professor Norbert Kaiser). Participated in master classes with Sabine Meyer, Eduard Brunner, Vicente Alberola and Sergio Bosi.
A laureate of the I All-Russian Clarinettists’ Competition in Moscow (first prize, 2003), the Possehl Young Performers’ Competition in Lübeck (first prize, 2009), Lion’s Club Young Woodwind Performers’ Competition in Stuttgart (first prize, 2012).
He is a grant-recipient of Nikolai Shilin’s Russian foundation Our Culture and Legacy as well as German foundations supporting young performers including those of Oscar and Vera Ritter and Maria Luisa. Since 2013 he has been a soloist of the clarinet section of the Mariinsky Orchestra.
