Juri Vallentin (Oboe)

BIOGRAPHY

He studied at the Nuremberg Hochschule für Musik with Prof. Clara Dent-Bogányi and at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris with Prof. Jacques Tys.

In 2017 he was awarded the main prize as well as the audience award at the Deutscher Musikwettbewerb. A laureate of international competitions such as the International Oboe Competition in Japan (2015), the International Oboe and Bassoon Competition in Muri (Switzerland, 2016), the Academic Oboe and Bassoon Competition in Lodz (Poland 2014) and many others.

As a student he was a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra and since 2015 he has been a principal oboe of the Niedersächsisches Staatsorchester Hannover at the Hanover State Opera. He makes guest appearances as principal oboe at the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, the Bamberger Symphoniker, the NDR Radiophilharmonie, the leading Opera Orchestras in Hamburg, Frankfurt and Munich, amongst others.
