Zhasulan Abdykalykov (Trumpet)

In 2003 was accepted to the Kazakh National Academy of Music (class of Pyotr Zhizhil). Graduated from the Academic Music College of the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory and the Conservatory (class of Prof. Vadim Novikov).

A first prize winner at the International Youth Competition for Winds and Percussion (Moscow, 2011) and the International Moscow Conservatory Competition for Winds and Percussion (2016). Won the Grand Prix of the Shabyt International Competition for Creative Youth (Astana, 2013). In 2014 he was accepted to the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg (class of Prof. Matthias Höfs).

As a guest musician performed with the Svetlanov State Academic Symphony Orchestra and the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia.
