Began playing the violin aged four and made his solo debut aged 13 at the Dresden Music Festival. 

As soloist played with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Munich Radio Orchestra, Leipzig Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra Göttingen, New Russia State Symphony Orchestra and many others. Was invited to play as a soloist together with Anne-Sophie Mutter at the Philharmonie Berlin. He also toured with Mrs. Mutter in the USA and Canada, giving concerts at Carnegie Hall and the Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto.

Plays on a violin by Antonio Stradivari (Cremona, 1709), on loan from the German Music Foundation in Hamburg.
